Plants finally have the support they need!
Most gardeners have experienced the frustration of finding their tomato plants crushed or torn when flimsy cages cannot support their growth or they tip over from rough, windy weather. And that likely means that typical wire frames, stakes, cages and trellises have disappointed you on more than one occasion. So maybe you scoured your local gardening supply outlets for other solutions and were surprised that they all carry the same products: unstable wire cages or inflexible, overpriced trellises. Well, the Trell-o, the mighty mouse of plant support tools, was created to solve the problem for good.
Designed with stability, flexibility and affordability in mind, the Trell-o is an easy-to-assemble, collapsible wood trellis that is as attractive as it is sturdy. It sits atop the soil, so no staking is required and it is engineered with a flexible joint that allows the legs to splay, creating a broad base and a narrow top, just the opposite of the wire cages that easily bend or otherwise fail to provide the support plants need.
The attractive design and ability to link multiple Trell-os mean you can also use it to sculpt your garden while you support it. So, with the invention of the Trell-o, gardening possibilities just grew by leaps and bounds.

Why the Trell-o?
Gardeners are, by nature, inventive. That's why, with no reliable, affordable plant support solution available many people try to make their own. But it takes time, strength, the proper tools, and usually two or more people to create a substantial structure. And naturally what we all want is an easy, reliable way to grow and enjoy our produce.
The Trell-o is unique in many ways, not the least of them is its value. While providing unprecedented support for climbing plants, the Trell-o is built to last. Since this gardening tool is collapsible, you can store your Trell-o during the off season and, with proper care, you'll be able to use it for many growing seasons to come. And unlike most trellises that are built using heavy metals, the Trell-o is made of good-quality cedar or cypress, is much less expensive and requires no staking.
So put away the tools, stakes, cages, rebar and fencing materials and devote your energy to growing a fabulous garden using the Trell-o.

A Link to Infinite Possibilities
We are very excited about providing gardeners with the plant support they deserve, but it's the linking capability of our solution that can revolutionize how people design and sculpt their gardens.
We've created a kit that links two Trell-os together so gardeners can add an extra plant between each frame. The linking kit consists of horizontal pieces that attach using a simple cable tie system that takes only seconds to achieve. That way, gardeners can link off one Trell-o in any direction and as many times as one wishes. With easy-to-follow instructions and an attractive frame that can be stained or left natural to suit aesthetic preference, there are no limits to linking Trell-os‚ except one's imagination.

From "a ha" to "ta-da!"
When gardener and Trell-o co-founder Jane Roberts lost her tomato plants after a heavy storm hit in the summer of 2008, she was determined to find an alternative to the traditional wire cages she had been using. So, with the help of her sister Nancy, she created the Trell-o.
Their design, while simple, is extraordinarily well engineered thanks in part to Nancy's professional background in woodworking and mountmaking and Jane's "a-ha" moment. The concept of the Trell-o came quickly to Jane once she realized that the main problem with wire cages was structural‚ and the rest fell in line over the course of a few months until they had a product that is:
• Stable enough to weather a storm.
• Free standing, requiring no stakes, wires or anything else going into the ground.
• Simple and easy.
• Collapsible for easy storage.
In addition, each individual part of the Trell-o can be replaced at minimal expense. That way, you can use your Trell-o for years, despite wear and tear.

Going Beyond Tomatoes
The Trell-o was designed in answer to the problems associated with wire frames typically used for tomato plants, but it can also be used to support other climbing plants such as peas (sugar snap and snow peas) and beans as well as annual flowering vines. It also provides support for unwieldy plants (such as sunflowers) and can be used as a garden sculpting tool to achieve a desired, overall look and feel. And because the Trell-o is an attractive frame, there really are no limits to how gardeners use them to accentuate their plants and gardens.
